It's a tough balance! I find that I only feel drawn to making content when I have something to promote--a book, a class, etc. In my deep times of writing and creation, I fall off from the content-creation. Of course, there are repercussions. When I'm not posting, I'm actively losing followers. & those followers are somewhat necessary in order to keep creating. It's a terrible cycle! But I find that being able to separate "content periods" from "creation periods" has been helpful as I navigate being a writer that (eventually) wants to make this a full-time gig.
Ahh, I like the idea of allowing for different “seasons” so to speak—while acknowledging the potential algorithmic/follower consequences of that, too 😅
